By the end of this week, we should have everything moved out of the store in Piedmont. Can't really write as much tonight as I would like. I'm too sore from lifting/moving boxes; and we have to do it again Thursday, and possibly Friday as well.
Tuesday we delivered groceries to Mom, and picked up some things that my cousins (Tommie and Ralph Usry) wanted us to have -- maybe to sell at the flea market, or in our booth at "The Treasure Chest" in Pell City.
It was quite a truckload. Tommie and Ralph could not believe that we packed the truck with as much stuff as we did. There were only a couple of items we left with them to pick up at a later date.
Well it's 'pumpkin time' -- and I'm feeling really tired. I will update you with how the day's events unfold for Thursday. I have a few free-time projects that I am working on -- so far, the printer have not been cooperative. I may have to buy another cartridge of ink before getting the letter/pages in the envelope and posted in the mail. Catch back here, very soon -- Cathy Ann Abernath
This has been an interesting year to say the least. How? You might ask. I can't even begin to do it justice here.
So, I will let you browse through my many "blogs" at your leisure:

is my home.
Hello from the sunny, very toasty locale of Weaver, Alabama
This site has just had an updated version of WordPress installed, and I soon be adding/trying out the many new features which prompted the upgrade.
Yes, this site has been dormant -- for several good reasons.
No I won't be doing a whole lot posting right away. I still have craft items that need posting to eBay.
Just wanted to say I am very glad there was a chance to get the 'latest and greatest' blogging tools in place.
For the moment, I have selected a template for the blog which is "friendly to dial-up" as well as other ISP connections.
Check back often - I will be doing something new here, very soon.

It has been quiet thus far, and I would enjoy hearing from folks that visit my site.
There is a 'major overhaul' I need to do with this website. First and most easily updated will be the online album pages; but this too will take time. I have hundreds of photos to get organized, sized, and captions written for. These photos range from family heirloom photos, to band & college photos from the 1980's-1990's, to everyday (digital) photos that I and Dave have taken around the farm the past several years.
Should you find a photo on one of these pages that you would like a "Full-sized" copy of; I can make arrangements and get them (burned to CD), and sent 'snail mail' to you for a reasonable fee. Postage and shipping isn't cheap these days, as you know.
All sales presently are strictly through "ABEBOOKS.com".
So please use their contact links if you have questions about a particular title.

I have taken a bit of a break from doing family tree research; but do answer email queries about folks who are listed in my GEDCOM information, and online databases.
If I can find a system of presenting my GEDCOM information on my OWN website, that is not too bulky or awkward to use, I hope to have the 'extended' family tree uploaded sometime in the (near?) future.
Until then I will continue to host my data with RootsWeb.com and other FREE genealogy services. So please check these out if you want to know more.
To access my most recent file directly, go to the RootsWeb.com welcome page and type "werecat2005" in the 'go to a specific database' box, then press 'enter. This should get you to the master index of the 50,000+ individuals currently in my 'extended tree.
Thank you, for stopping by. "Ya'll come back" again.

After having lost the more recent version of my "index.html" page. I have had to 'dig up' and older version and dust off the code; migrate some text to seperate pages, and add this new entry.
There are many more things I want to do; but it's late, and I want some much needed sleep.
I'll be back soon with link to several online photos album pages (still being 'roughed-out') and other things related to family and photos.
